Presents

June 20, 2005 on 6:53 pm | In Life |

Well, quite naturally, when someone has a birthday, he receives presents.

Here is a list of what I hath receiveth as of late:

  • The album ‘Consign to Oblivion’ of Epica
  • A coupon for an extension of my computer’s memory
  • Hair gel
  • A pack of DVD+RWs, something I have absolutely no use for seeing as my burner doesn’t support them.
  • A pack of CD-RWs, something I have a use for seeing as they’re CDs and thus my burner supports them.
  • A coupon for shades (as in sunglasses)
  • A cinema-coupon
  • An SMS from Owen Rudge

Yes, that’s quite a lot of coupons, but that’s only because the people giving the coupons didn’t know what type/movie/style to get :)

Also, so far I have made €95 by passing my exams and/or having my birthday. Woohoo :)
Thanks to all the people that donated money to this good cause and those who gave me presents and/or hamburgers.

  2. It was quite an enjoyable one, indeed.

I’ve had way worse, at least. Ones where nobody visited and only one person thought of sending me a card :P

  3. Your reply never got to me. :( Oh, and I’ll happily take those DVD+RWs from you, I happen to have a DVD burner. What would be very nice would be some dual-layer DVD-Rs, actually… (or DVD+Rs, perhaps, I think it’s the + variety that my burner supports when it comes to dual-layer discs).

  5. Owen tells lies! You can legally learn, but you’d need to pass to legally drive. Something Owen not allowed to do, as his island is to small :).

  6. Well, as long as the police aren’t on the island, people will drive all sorts of old bangers, etc… although nowadays, there are more people who are likely to report such an offence compared with, say, 10 years ago. On the mainland (Orkney), of course, there ARE regular police there, so it’s generally not wise to try to drive without a licence or with a heap of scrap as your vehicle. ;)
